About the Course:
This certified 'Coaching Kids 5-11 years' course run by Cricket Leinster is aimed at coaches who are or will be coaching cricket to kids aged 5-11 years. The course is designed to provide new and emerging coaches with the knowledge and skills to deliver child-centred, safe, fun, and age-appropriate coaching sessions.
There have been some improvements to this course. You will now be required to complete modules online, in your own time, prior to the day of the course. This will take approximately 60mins. This means we have been able to reduce the in-person course time. Please note that your name and email address will be shared with Cricket Ireland for accreditation purposes. Please note that participants must now be aged 16 or over on the day of the course.
All participants will receive a comprehensive workbook with guidance on technique as well as drills and games. This is only available to those that attend the course on the day.

Coaching Cricket Course

About this course:
This certified 'Coaching Cricket' course is aimed at coaches aged 18 and above, who want to coach club or school players aged over 11 years. The course is designed to provide new and emerging coaches with the knowledge and skills to deliver player centred, enjoyable, and safe coaching support with an appropriate focus on cricket skills and long-term player development. All participants will receive a comprehensive workbook with guidance on technique as well as drills and games.
Having completed both days of the course, including an assessment on the second day, and sending us your up to date Garda Vetting and Safeguarding 1 certs you will then be issued a certificate of completion.

Introduction to Coaching - for TY students
Location: Corduff Sports Centre Blackcourt Road, Corduff, Dublin 15, D15 T861, Ireland
Time: 9.30-11.45pm
Date: January 23rd, Tuesday
Cost: €20pp

9.30 check-in with a prompt start, so please be on time.
Please bring warm weather/rain gear with you as part of the course will be held on the Astro outside.
Cricket Leinster Development Officers will be covering the following aspects of cricket on the course: introducing batting and bowling basics to beginners, flat catching, underarm throw, mini-games, intro to wicket-keeping and introduction to how to differentiate sessions for different needs/abilities.
This is a non-certified course that is built for TY students to help them to assist with school or club sessions.

In addition, the Core Coach Course (formerly known as the Level 2) will be run by Cricket Ireland around March and will be in a venue in Northern Ireland over 2 weekends. Registration is not open yet, however, if you are interested in this course please contact Cricket Ireland directly (Stephen Maxwell - stephen.maxwell@cricketireland.ie) as they run this course.
The club strongly encourages members to attend these courses & will happily consider refund the cost of the course (usually deducted from membership fees) if you commit to assist with club juvenile coaching during the season.
